Analytics settings

1. Our approach

CHS SOS uses essential browser storage to operate the website. Site analytics is active by default to measure content and conversion performance. You can turn it off at any time with the compact control in the footer. The site continues to work without analytics.

2. Storage we use

CategoryName or servicePurposeTypical duration
Essentialchs_privacy_choicesRemembers when this browser turns site analytics off or back on.365 days
EssentialWordPress security/session storageProtects forms and authenticated administrator sessions. Most public visitors do not receive a login cookie.Session or security-defined
FunctionalchsProductPromptV5 local storage and chsProductPromptSessionV5 session storagePrevents the CHS SOS product-information prompt from recurring during the same session or cooldown.14-day cooldown; session marker ends with the browser session
FunctionalchsSavedGuidesV1 local storageStores the links and titles a visitor deliberately saves to their on-device guide list. It does not store symptom answers.Until removed by the visitor or browser storage is cleared
Analytics — optionalGoogle Analytics (_ga, _ga_*)Measures page use and interactions while analytics is on. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad personalization remain disabled.Provider controlled; configured for up to 13 months where supported
Analytics — optionalJetpack StatsMeasures aggregate WordPress traffic while analytics is on.Provider controlled

3. Turning analytics off or on

Use the “Site analytics” control in the footer. Turning analytics off updates Google Consent Mode, removes accessible Google Analytics and Jetpack cookies, and reloads the page without analytics. Turning it back on reactivates measurement. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, analytics stays off while that signal is active.

4. Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Removing the CHS SOS preference cookie returns analytics to its default-on state unless Global Privacy Control is active. Blocking all storage may affect authentication or form-security features.

5. Questions

For questions about a specific cookie or tracking request, email support@chssos.com.
