Cyclic vomiting episodes from cannabis — anyone else dealing with this?

I have used cannabis for years with no issues, but recently every few weeks I get horrible episodes of vomiting lasting hours. Between episodes I feel completely normal. Strangely, hot baths temporarily help. What could this be?

Cyclic vomiting with hot water relief is the hallmark presentation of CHS. The episodic nature combined with the hot bath or shower symptom are the two most specific signs distinguishing CHS from other gastrointestinal conditions.

I had this exact pattern for 8 months before a diagnosis. Multiple doctors said anxiety or gastritis. An ER physician who had seen CHS recognized it immediately. The hot shower compulsion is almost diagnostic on its own.

The cyclic nature is key. If you are completely fine between episodes and cannabis is involved, CHS is very likely. Have you considered stopping cannabis even temporarily to see if episodes stop?
