People do not talk enough about the psychological impact of losing cannabis when CHS forces you to quit. For many of us it was our primary coping mechanism for anxiety and depression. How are you all managing?

Cannabis was genuinely managing my PTSD before CHS forced me to quit. Losing it was painful. I have since found CBT-based therapy more effective long-term, but the transition was very rough and took time and real support.

The mental health piece is underacknowledged in clinical settings. Doctors focus on stopping cannabis but often do not address what replaces it. A therapist who understands substance use and chronic illness has been essential for me.

Be aware that some people develop a cannabis use disorder alongside CHS — continuing to use even knowing it causes harm because the psychological dependency is so strong. If that is you, please talk to an addiction specialist. Help is available.
